I could of swore that there was a light under the hood in my 03 but i don't see one anymore? is there supposed to be one there?

There isn't one on my 2K2 but I'm glad you brought this up....it is a real peeve of mine. I had a light under the hood in my 1989 Plymouth Sundance but they can't put one on my Nissan Maxima?!?!

 

These cars never have any issues under the hood, so why would you need one?

What made you think you have a light under your hood. I know a lot of foregin car dont' have that, usually I see light hood on domestic cars.

 

theres a reason for the lights under domestic hoods. You have to work on them more!

 

i was told they stopped putting them in because dealers would pop the hood to work on the car and run the battery dead. then they either had charge the battery or jump it before the customer could pick it up. in some cases, the battery could not handle the cycle and died.

 

that's a pretty pizz poor excuse! I've been thinking about putting one in regardless for a while now.

 

I dunno, i drive a lot of different cars, my max sits all winter long, i hopped in it the other day to change the oil and noticed no light, I could of swore it did have one but like i said i see a lot of different cars so my mix up.

im glad it doesnt have a light under the hood because i leave it open a lot, and that would run down the battery....
