the best foglight bulb?

what is the best, white/blue h3 bulb out there to compliment the xenons on my 02 maxima, today I replaced my stock h3's with sylvania silverstars and they seem just as yellow as the stockers, should I go with led's or is there another bulb that will blend with the xenons?

HID those suckas then u can pick the kelvin rating and match perfectly. iv enever had good luck with silverstars, i had them in my heads and when i tried to remove them the broke in the harness, at one point i used those optx headlights best buy sold, i work there so i got them really cheap, i liked them alot, nice and bright blue, without looking cheap. but they dont sell them anymore form what iv noticed

PIAA super plasma GTX. they are the closest next to real HIDs. you can find them on ebay for like 60 bucks. my headlight looks alittle blue, cuz i just turned them on, the bulbs are pretty damn bright and white with a little purple hue in them. my sig pic has stock fogs. theyre as bright as the parking lights.

Go to the PIAA website and find a local dealer. Then bargain him down to around $50. Tell him you can them on the web for $46.

get the PIAA Super Plasmas or super plasma GTX (newer version)...they match the stock HIDs on my 2k2 very nicely....almost the same white color except a tiny bit of purple....only noticeable when up close....you can't tell from a distance cuz they are so white they match the HIDs almost perfectly...

A while back I purchased 4000k piaa Xtreme White Plus fog light bulbs and was disappointed because they didn't match the HID on my 02 Maxima SE. I'm looking into buying a different bulb but I can't seem to find out what is the Kalvin for the stock a HID (a seller on ebay suggests it would help reduce the guess work involved). Does any know the kalvin rating on the stock HID and/or have a picture of a Piaa H3 fog light bulb that matches the stock HID nicely ( i.e. 7000k Piaa Spark Blue or 5000k Super Plasma GTX). HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see the pic you posted but aren't they stock fog light blubs???? The other pics are with amber (yellow) bulbs, and HID conversions (repectively). I want to see pic of a maxima with either the Super Plasma GTX or Spark blue as the fog light. I also want to know the kalvin rating of the stock hid to find a close match.

The SUPER PLASMA are 55W=85W and the SUPER PLASMA GT-X are 55W=110W. How good do they work on the stock foglight wiring?

they work perfectly fine with the stock wattage....becuz they are still stock wattage...ex. 55w=110w...the first # means the actual wattage its pulling from the harness...the second # means the estimated wattage the bulb performs at....although i believe the 2nd # is full of BS....cuz i've seen real 100 watt bulbs before and they are BRIGHT

because, if I had a lexus, I'd have to "clear" the fogs just to be different.

Since you’re so concerned about correcting my mystifications about this post, how about answering the Kelvin rating question and displaying a Maxima with spark blue bulbs! After all, if you were a candid maxima owner, you would be more apprehensive about answering another member’s question, rather then to just ridicule their bewilderment!

You are getting wrapped around the axle for no reason. I was in your shoes a month ago. I bought the Super Plasma GTX's and love them (sorry no pics). They match the HIDS the best as far as quality bulbs go. I can't speak for ebay bulbs. Save yourself the headache and time and buy the Super Plasma GTX's.

True....but i heard the technology is different that is why HIDs give out brighter lights at lower wattage....but requires a large amount of power to start them up....

umm. . . ya...ok Give the Nobel Prize award to this man. It's pretty obvious though, hence the ballast required to ignite it and igniter.

Hoen xenonmatch bulbs work at stock wattage but don't claim to give off any higher wattage light. They are used in many BMW, Audi, etc. applications to match the HID's. They run about $40 for the pair and look just like the HID's.

maxima stock HIDs are 4300K. when they are lit up for 1000 hrs or so, they have more kelvins, prolly 4800k. so something like 5000K fogs will look nice.

Thanks for the advice, I was about to purchase the Piaa spark blue bulbs, put they're not DOT approved, so I get the Super Plasma GTX's today.
