info on hid fog lights

i have a 2000 max and have already put rims, 02 hids and tail lights on her. now with the help from the bordom of winter, and alot of constant almost obsesive compulsive daily reading of the org. ( no really i can't stop ) i bought the entire 02 class. stillen kit along with a 02 front bump. since i need to buy 02 fog lights anyway to fit 02 bump, which i estimate to be about $200 after shipping i am considering hid fogs. i really like keeping a stock yet upgraded look on my car, so my question would be A)do these kits come with the glass housings (fog lights)? b)if so how much do they run $? C)which is the best brand to match stock 02 hids to and finally would they look better than reg fogs with piaa plasma bulbs, remembering that i like a stock yet upgraded look. i don't like it looking too hooked up. thanks guys, i could'nt have gotten this far without you. ps i'm still looking for a stock 02 grille to fit bumper.

K ratings are different company to company. HID fogs will look much better than halogen bulbs but you can tell that you have HID fogs because they are pretty darn bright.

Umnitza sells two kits ( xtec and prolumen ). Matt at Umnitza told me that the kits look the same just different brand. Now remember Umnitza doesn't sell crap so either one of their kits will be good. I just purchase a prolumen h3 5000k kit from them today. Matt said that 5000k will match stock hid lights the best, its white with a slight blue in it, 6000k is more purple looking and has much less light output, thats why I went with the 5000k. I will post pictures of my kit installed by the end of the week.

How good is your light output compared to stock fog's? Do they shine a lot further? wider?

just in case you don't already know, the HID kits do not include the foglight housing. just the bulbs, ballasts and wiring as shown above in the pics posted. i have the x-tec 5000K on my 2K from umnitza and agree with AKOGAN on his explanation. they run around $240-$300, depending on if there is a deal going on or not.
