I don't see why they wouldn't be. I'm getting HIDs for mine soon.

i have them and they are a little dim because the pattern is so spread out..but other than that...looks>function..even though the brights are soooo bright, its just the low beams that are a little dim..but i m fine with them..and if you're not satisfied with the brightness you can just get new bulbs

ok well first off no HID aftermarket kits are not plug and play for the projector lights. the lens is totally different for HID and Reg halogen. If you put HID bulbs in a Halgen projector lens your light output will cause TONS of glare for people in front and coming the other way. Some really dont care about that, but cops will see you from a mile a way cuase it looks like your high beaming everyone.....there are people doing a HID lens conversion with an MDX lens or somethin like that check back like a week ago it was there.....but im with the other person up there, id rather just save up and find the 02 hids.....unless you live on the east side or something....or if you plan on not going HID...just get those put one PIAA bulbs in them and it will be better than the old 2000 headlight. good luck to all!

I think he means the ballasts.... I know for sure that the actual housing is like 10x as much....

A friend of mine who has the projectors have really poor lighting compared to my stock. He said it's fine with him because he doesn't drive at night a lot but heck... I think it's kinda dangerous with those lights on because it's like having 6 flashlights in front of you.... but again... these look GREAT!!!!

Only if they produced good lighting... soooo the choice is urs.... good lighting with okay looking headlights or poor lighting with great looking headlights...

you COULD also just get HIDS for the projectors... i heard some people do that but I'm not sure if it's a lot better or what not... good luck on your choice!

Below is the projector with 6000K H.I.D and PIAA bulb comparison.
The aftermarket H.I.D isn't so plug and play, you need to do minor mods to it.
also there is no glare to oncoming traffic.

You also can go with Dr. Roy's method, retrofit MDX projector into the housing.

What kind of minor mods do you have to do to the HIDs to get them to fit. I'm planning on getting Hids for mine.

best thing to do is to get HID projectors from a bmw or audi and retrofit them. That will give an even better light output that the stock 2k2 2k3 headlights.

HIDs in the h3 projector is a waste of $$$, although they don’t glare and have a nice cutoff, the beam pattern is awful. If you are going to do it, do it right, buy 2K2-2k3 HIDs or swap and retrofit in new projectors.

I was planning on using the H3 projectors I had left from the MDX swap, for fog lights W/ HID. But after I fitted one w/ D1S bulbs I am not sure I want to use them, the beam pattern looks ridicules, I will try and get some pics.

I have these projectors but I don't think I am gonna change the projector lenses. I just wanted to know if anybody or wcasskicker bought an HID kit with H3 bulbs for these headlights. I am just kind of confused because The stock harness is for h4 bulbs. What kind of mods do you need to do to put an HID kit and what type of bulbs do you need? THANKS A LOT. You guys are the only ones that can help me.
