Windshield Washer Light

For the past 1 1/2 years depending on the weather the windshied washer light goes on and stays on. And yes its filled to the top I've also replaced the motor and still on somedays it lights up......any ideas other then cutting the wires.....

I don't know if the switch is normally open or closed, but if you cut the wires, you may end up with the light staying on.

Seriously, I think this has come up in the past. Are you sure your SE has this feature? IIRC, only on the GLEs had it in 2001 and people who didn't have GLEs had "ghost" lights from moisture getting somewhere in the harness (the wiring is apparently common to all except for there is no connection to the reservoir in the GXEs or SEs).

I don't know what type of sensor the Max uses, but in one of my past cars if the sensor was gummed up with washer residue it would give a false reading.
