If your UDP is made of aluminum alloy and the seal contact area is not sleeved with a steel bushing then it ain't your seal. The seal will have worn a "groove" in the contact area and that's why you have the leak. This problem has been addressed many times. Any company who fabricates these things out of aluminum and does not sleeve the seal contact area obviously does not have the engineering background/knowledge to make/fabricate anything and is probably a backyard garage operation.

Did you replace the seal when you put the UDP in?

Well, if you didnt replace the seal when you put the UDP in then the new pulley wore a different groove in the seal in addition to the first groove from the stock pulley. Thats why its leaking, you just need to replace the seal around the crankshaft right behind the UDP.

I have no trouble codes whatsoever, however, almost every part on the car is originally from the factory, except a left/driver side window regulator, resonator pipe replaced, 1 coil that went bad, new sparkies, (Ngk platinum)and lower oil pan/gasket replaced.(ALL replaced in the last year). One of the cats went bad because there's the dreaded egg smell when at half throttle or more. The car is also sucking gas like no tomorrow. Many more problems, but these are the main priorities I'd like to get fixed ASAP! I'd think the crankshaft seal would need replacing Never replaced one before. The rear main seal is fine. Anyone have knowledge of the correct seal to purchase, and a part # off the top of your head? I'm having problem's finding the right parts, (not that mechanically inclined, but have changed many parts on the last Maximas I've owned over the years). Should I replace the oil pressure sensor as well after 120k miles? Also, for the oil filter cooler housing gasket, what would anyone recommend for oem/oe replacement since gaskets are cheap? Fel-pro, MAHLE etc? Any and all help will be thoroughly appreciated! The car has problems, but isn't burning alot of oil ( for how old the car is) or blowing any blue smoke or anything like that out the exhaust, but, there is noticeable power loss. I changed from Dino oil to syn blend, and am now changing to f/syn 10W-30 Valvoline Maxlife h/m to try to slow down any leaks from valve covers etc. until funds are available. Any recommendations of reputable sites who sell oem parts? Thank you and God bless you! 🙏
P.S. I apologize for restarting such an old thread, but couldn't find the exact thread to post on. I'm at my wits end with this car, but the body is immaculate! No rad support rust, rear quarter rust,(except a few bubbles.... I am from the northeast) and has been through some rough, cold, inclement weather for the 4 years I've had her. She's been so good to me, for the last 4 years of regular maintenance and plan on keeping her for a very long time. If you need pics, just let me know.. thanks!
start with the oil cooler o-ring, clean the area, and recheck in a few weeks. personally mahle or OEM. fel-pro might as well go right into the garbage.
