Will the 2002 grille fit in the 2001 hole ?
I have a 2002 with a 2001 grille and I want to cut the grille out and put my old 2002 grille on.Possible?
Are there better headlights for the 2001 maxima?
Yes I live in HID theft land.
Do they make a good H4 conversion that will work in the 2001 maxima headlights?

The 2002 will not fit on the 2001 since the 00-01 that the grille is actually part of the bumper. So you have to change out the bumper. Secondly, I'm not sure i understood what you mean, better headlights for 01? ALL 00-01 only have halogen headlights, the 02-03 came with HID. If you wanted HID in 01 Maxima, you have to get a ballast for it, they do sell it on a website, I think autodynamic.com has them. BTW, what do you have a 01 or 02, cuz your post is very vague, I don't see how you have a 2002 if you have a 01 grille.

Second question : the 2001 headlights have a silver shield IN FRONT OF THE HEADLIGHT ,is this enough so that I can put a AFTERMARKET XENON H4 kit in ,will the beam look ok?Has any 2001 members had success with an HID aftermarket kit,I am NOT interested at all in the 2002 setup,why because they steal it.
My 2002 maxima is safe......I can park it in newark or NYC and nobody cares about it with the 2001 nose ,get me? Thats the whole idea...SECRET ,shhhhhhh.
I do miss the HID light-output.
