Rear Brake Help QUICK CAR ON JACK STANDS

I've got my back end jacked up, and the new pads on, but when I try to put the caliper back on it hits the little nub on the back of the inner pad and won't go over the top ? ? Any suggestions ? ? ?

Correct me if I'm wrong someone, but don't you need a tool that will like sort of space out the pads/caliper? Or was that for the rotor? Sorry for not being REAL helpful, been a LONG time since I messed with a Maxima.

The piston has to be turned to the point where the pads will sit within the notched area. That way they will be fully seated. If you need any further help, let me know.

As mentioned, just twist the piston a bit more so that one of the grooves in it goes over top the "nub" (I like to call it a nipple) on the new rear break pad.
