I kind of cut off a Z3 (don't ask me for more details) on my way home from work. It was more rude of me than dangerous. 5 minutes later he pulls up beside me at a red light intent on revenge. At this particular light we are both waiting to turn left onto a straight section of highway. I have the inside lane and thus a big advantage. I looked over to see if he intended to race but couldn't get any eye contact. I'm quite sure that he was planning on getting in front of me before his lane merged into mine (after about 100m). He was edging forward in anticipation. Anyway, with the advantage of the inside lane he never stood a chance against me. After hitting 130kph I let off on the accelerator and it was only then that he closed the gap. After failing to humiliate the local Volkswagen's and Volvo's with my black beauty I was quite happy with tonight's performance.

I levelled off at 120kph and he slowed down to about 100kph. It was a one lane highway with 90kph speed limit and lot's of oncoming traffic. Like you said, it wasn't much of a race. I was happy because once we were on the straight he couldn't close the gap between us despite trying to. I'm sure that in general the Z3 will outperform the Maxima but it's nice to let people know that the Maxima is one helluva family car.
