OEM Strut, After Market Strut, Maxspeed Spring and Rear brake.

Hi all, i am sorry if this question has been post before. But, i really can't find the thread and answer except looking at housecor's website.
My car is 2001 Maxima AE
Here is my question:

1. what is the point for me to change the stock strut with Maxspeed spring combo, while OEM strut is Tokico already? It seems like a lot (and almost all) of people change the OEM strut to After market strut at the time they lower their car. Currently, I have OEM strut with Maxspeed spring on the front and produce an outstanding handling quality compare to stock. It is even a bit softer or may be the same than stock spring which make me so satisfy with this combo.

2. Would you guys let me know what is the height of your Rear car who has maxspeed spring. Housecor's site mention 27" in the rear, which is only 1/4" lower than stock spring. Does anyone else have less than 27" on the rear?

3. My rear brake is squicking when i press the brake. is that mean that the brake pad need to be replaced? because my car only has 25000 miles on it. Dealer said that this can not be right. Generally front will need to be replaced twice before changing the rear pad. I check the e-brake and brake pad clearance, and everythings are OK. Please let me know what you guys think.

Thanks a lot and I appreciate all the answers, and sorry for this long question.

1. Your stock struts will blow soon and your car will bounce around and your handling will suck.
If you have fairly new struts and drive on good roads you will be ok up to about a year. Maxspeedsprings dont drop much but if you were any lower your struts would blow in a few weeks.

Even if ya get the aftermarket OEM replacements like the Tokico HPs or KYB GR2s, they're still gonna be around 10% stiffer than the stock struts, so they'll presumably last longer than your stock struts with any lowering springs. I have Tokico HPs with a Progress drop and they've been fine so far.

Wow, you have a 2001 AE with 25000 miles on it? Ya need to make better use of that baby...

About 4 months ago, that car only have 17000 miles only. So i decided to bang the mileage a little bit. Probably i still have the lowest mileage among owners on this forum. Too good for this car

Have you checked your brake fluid levels to make sure you don't have to much or to little?
