got the sel and dealer said misfire 1 cylender. so had replace all coils and new plugs. was i ripped off or was this a fair price?

 

You got raped. Could of bought the coils yourself for around $320 shipped to you house and you could of installed them yourself.

 

plugs also with a diagnossis and labor????????????

 

What year is your Max? I heard of a TSB on the coils. Maybe they shouldn't have charged you?

 

They are cover only 3/36....that's the price at the dealer.. the charged me 600.00 to replace them.. l had extended warranty and it covered the cost.....

 

You should have asked first. We could have saved you few hundred bucks.

 

2000 with 51k

 

I had the 100,000 extended warrenty and my coils were covered $50 deductible. My CEL light came on, 2 weeks later, car was not driveable. Engine shook very badly like a major misbalance. So basically 1 or more cylinders wer not firing.
