Car seems more sluggish than normal...

So my 2000 Maxima SE which I purchased at 84k miles now has almost 89k miles. There was no dates on which any maintenance was done but I'm going to do couple things that I think will make it better! If you have suggestions please help me out. I searched but couldn't find the right threads I wanted. So hopefully a few of you can recommend on what else I should do to my new car (I came from the 4th gen). Thanks!

Oil Change as soon at the end of this month (before I put my mods on) ~ what kind of oil should I use?

Clean throttle body (when I put my intake on)

Put in fuel injector cleaner (right after I change my oil and what kind of brand should I use?) ~ should I put it in before I get gas (from empty)... in middle of a full tank... after I get a full tank..

Change spark plugs (ngk the best choice from my research)

Check wires and coils

Tire pressure (32-33 psi)

Hopefully this will help OTHERS to think about what they want to do also if there car is sluggish... winter is almost over here.. and spring time is almost here so I want my car to feel and look it's best!

I hope this will also help my gas mileage... because I'm only getting like 300 miles per tank and I'm not even a heavy footer...

Thanks for anyones help!!!

For the Oil I recommend Mobil 1 5W-30
For plugs NGK or Bosch Platinum 4
Do the Seafoam treatment
Flush the Tranny... see my Sig
Use the Sea Foam for cleaning the TB there is a spray version
Fuel Injector right when adding the gas..... Techron

etc etc.....

any tbv cleaner will help, just clean it with the rubber boot OFF between the TB and maf...

use 5w30 for cold weather, but change it to 10w40 during summer.

I think 10w40 is too heavy. If factory recommends 5w-30 why use a heavier weight. Does it really get that hot in MA and do you drive with very high engine speed and long duration? I'm just curious. I've seen 15w-40 used in fleet cars such as police cars, but then they are always running. I used to work for the University of Connecticut Transportation Dept when I was a student driving buses and doing Preventative maintenance work. All they (motor pool) use is 15w-40 in all engines the takes multigrade oils.

Nissan recommends 5W30 for all seasons for the best fuel economy.

Forgot about the Bosch plugs and only use NGK platinum or coppers. Consider changing the fuel filter as it should be done every 30,000 miles. You should determine what kind of plugs are in the car. If they are NGK platinum perhaps there is nothing wrong with them because I question them being in there since day 1, ie. they may be fine. Also check the PCV valve.

on the 5th gen, there's no fuel filter that's easily accessible. You can change it if you want, but it's in the tank attached to the fuel pump. And it's not a regular maintenance item. THE NGK Platinum OEM plugs will probably last 60-80 thousand miles. I was ready to let it go till 100000. But I changed mine at 80 and they were bad. Rounded tips and some inconsistent major wear on the ground electrode on some cylinders. I'd change it.

Alright thanks everyone. I think I'll go with the NGK plats and do seafoam (ANY WRITEUPS?) I'll also use some fuel injector cleaners... I probably won't do the fuel filter because I heard they can last a while. I have 89k miles... I think I'll wait just a little bit more. Mobil 1 sounds good but I heard Castro GTX was also good. Thanks for the input!
