Re-routing high-beam signal to fog lights?

Here's the deal. I'm about to finish building a xenon kit, I can't do bi-xenon since I have no idea where to buy the proper harness for it, and don't want to buy additional resources to build one. Now, our fog lights can be aimed, correct? So what I was thinking of doing was purposely aiming them up so they glare when they're on (I never use them anyways) and routing the high-beam signal to activate them.

I'm sure it's possible, but what do I do?

not a bad idea...but our fog bulbs aren't nearly bright enough to light up anything like the regualr high beams do....

also, they can't be aimed up THAT far.....the adjustment is only a couple mm.....

Yeah, I know. But I heard the glare is pretty crazy if you move them up. And I'll be putting in a new set of PIAAs there so they'll come off brighter once replaced. And hey, since I'll only be using them for a second at a given time, maybe I'll use a higher wattage bulb.

I think it is safer to upgrade the wires if you want to do this. I personally don't like this idea since the glare problem. You know that every other driver will hi-beam you......

Even tho it sounds like a great idea, but wouldn't it be easier to go with bi-xenon kit?

Read what I said. Carefully.

Samm: Too expensive and at the same time crappy. True bi-xenon kits only exist for projector based housings.

You're correct. If this project of your comes through, then it'll definetly gonna be worth it. If not, then only other option you'll have is basically the ebay projectors since they also have high beam housing, which I already know you been there and done that. So I won't even mention it. I honestly don't see any other option left for us 5th gen guys with HID conversion.

Wonder what happens when the car in front of you is just 5 feet away (bumper-to-bumper) and you want to high-beam him/her?

I'll use the horn, since that's close proximity.

No flame taken. You have no idea how many PMs I get from people asking me where I got them. At least 5 a week, the very least. :|
