D2R Retrofit. Glare or no?

So before I purchase a pair of D2R bulbs, will they create a large amount of glare in my housing? My plan was to also aim the lights down slightly, as well. I think Ammi did a D2R retrofit, though I could be mistaken.

Any help would be great.

check HID forums, but if i remember correctly, our housings aren't really made for HIDs. If Ammi did do the retrofit, you might want to ask him to take a picture of the beam pattern against a wall. Im pretty sure though that there will be at least some glare.

You want to retrofit a D2R bulb into the 2k/2k1 housing? Why not just buy a H4 kit where the base is correct so you won't have so much glare? But if you Have the OEM HIDs already, then you might mean a D2S conversion... where you cut a notch into the D2S bulb base so it'll fit in the D2R recepticle.

You will need a D2R or D2S to H4 adapter... Try www.casperselectronics.com If done correctly the H4 housing shouldn't have excessive glare.
