Suspension Question??

I looked in the FAQ and couldnt find any info on this im new to moding cars and want to lower my car this spring and was just wondering if someone could tell me the difference between a coilover sistem and just buying new springs etc. ive been looking around at set ups and coilovers seem to cost alot more than anything else is this because they are a better suspension system... this may be a dumb question but any help would be appreciated.

Very generally, coilovers replace both the struts and springs.... they are height adjustable.... struts/springs are not (but some struts are stiffness adjustable)...

For springs/struts info... go here:

http://www.innerbean.com/housecor/sp..._decision.html

For coilover info... search for JIC, D2, etc and you should get some hits...

Can't help ya much more than that right now... maybe tomorrow...
