Cruise control issue?
hit it with a hammer over and over again....j/k
i would open up the little cover that next to it and see if there is a wire loose or something, if that turns up nothing, you could always just order a new unit for the steering wheel and see if that fixes it...
as a last resort i would go to the dealer... but i hate dealers

yeah it is easy to open, i just used my key i think... not a good idea though, dont want to break our keys... i would just get a small screwdriver and it will just pry open.
Is it a 5 or 6 spd? If so there is a little button that is by your clutch pedal that senses when you clutch is depressed or not. If the button is broken or not adjusted correctly your cruise wont work. This is only for a manual.
Auto trans also has a cancel switch built into the brake pedal. This switch is normally on, meaning when you depress the brake pedal, it breaks the connection and the cruise cuts off. Test it for continuity - it should be on with the pedal up, and cut off with the pedal slightly depressed.

Thanks. How would I test this?
Just look under you dash for a button that touches the break pedal when it is not depressed. Usually there is a piece of rubber that is on your brake pedal or clutch under your dash that touches a little round button. Ill try to get pictures up later. Check to see that it is being pushed in all the way when your brake pedal is not being depressed.
That is correct.
I have seen the rubber piece that closes the switch actually be missing from the pedal. Also, the contacts inside the switch can go bad. I have seen them break off inside the switch, since they have little springs that help them work properly.
You would need to disconnect the switch and test it with a multimeter for continuity.
