For people who have done OSCAI I'm looking for recommendations for the type of tubing used? I've heard 2.5" or 3". Shop Vac tubing or standard 3" rain drain tubing? How long should the tube be to tuck down by the splash guard or through the cut insert? Does the silencer need to come out? I've seen Punk Dorks link but just looking for some additional info?

Thanks!

There are varying opinions. I chose 3" diameter for more airflow. 4" was too big for me and anything smaller seemed too restrictive. I used rain tubing as a test... I want to get a smoother tubing, perhaps PVC so as to have less disturbance in the air flow. I have mine simply dangle straight down but others have brought them below the splash guard to create a ram air effect. It's custom so just do what you see fit!

I am using 2.5" shop-vac tubing. I have it run down to the splash guard and I cut a small rectangular slit in it. The tubing sticks out of this slit facing forward. I have it so that if I want, I can push the tubing back up into the splash guard and close up the slit.

PVC?

Is it possible to glue the L-shaped plastic doo-hicky that goes in the resonater onto a pvc pipe?
It would make a scoop and get more direct air flow from front of car rather from straight down.
Paint the pvc black, and it could look stock...just thinking out loud.

Quite possible I'm sure, although you can buy a similar joint for normal PVC and then you should have no issues with it fitting.

I use 3" Flexible air duct hose available at any parts store, And cut a circular hole in the splash guard and zip tied a piece of rabbit wire to the splash guard I did paint the wire black. I tied the hose to the opening in the splash guard. And the hose hole is located on the front of the angled down section of the splash guard so it will force more air into the tube.

Do you have any pictures of the tube going into th esplash guard?
I'm a little nervous at doing this without destructions...I mean directions.

Do you think water and dust could get through when you put it down like an L shape.

I imagine they would get in either way.

With the OSCAI i see the sensors are removed but it says nothing about reconnecting them. Do they need to be reconnected? I assume the would but what do i know?? :-(

Yeah you reconnect them. The only reason you disconnect is to give you slack with the scoop.
