When I had my stock rims, I could tear up 1st without a whole lot of effort , and squeal 2nd going into it with a quick release of the clutch. Now with my 19's, she just grabs and......goes! No squeal, no chirp, not even a peep. I guess that's a good thing.....maybe it's even my tires, these Proxes 4's stick like you wouldn't believe! I know that with bigger wheels the "spin" is slower and that would be a factor in pursay....more wheelspin, but just curious of how your 19's effected you?

Thanks,
p

I don't know about that man? My car still breaks loose in second and chirps third. The torque on the 3.5 is pretty high. I would post pics but I don't know how? Any help please? If not check my car out at http://members.cardomain.com/madmaxima808
peace!

my car feels a little more sluggish, especially trying to get up to speed from low rpm in a higher gear, like accelerating from 40mph in 4th gear. i didn't really notice it as much until i put my stock rims back on for winter. i have 19" konig theories.

I could spin all of 1 and 2 with my 18 Kumho tires. They sucked.

With my stock wheels and tires, I can spin 1, 2, 3 and chirp 4th. I need new tires

Sorry to go off topic, but how much were the Carbon Fiber Side Mirror Shells and were they stick on or replacements?

Tires aside, your car as a whole will be noticeably slower when trying to accelerate this larger mass, so it's not surprising that you're finding this!

have you ever been to the track with them? it's hell. i couldn't get better than 15.03 cuz i'd spin all the way through 3rd, the fact that they were balding only compounded with the fact that the tires just suck. I'm going back asap with my nokian's to show that track who's boss.

these are actually the outer shell covers. i had to use 3m heavy duty tape to adhere them on. took a couple of tries to get them to fit right, but i'm happy with the outcome.

With stock rims and Falken Ziex 512s (or Traction T/As) I cannot churp them going into third. What RPM are you guys shifting at (the end of 2nd) to chirp them?

i'm usually at redline when i'm shifting into 2nd from 1st, and the accelerator is floor immediately after the clutch is released. all she want's to do is pull

Wheelie King, we are not talking bout pulling the Ebrake here and roasting the tires after a brake torque. This is from SHIFTING while DRIVING already, any car can smoke the tires from the line, even a 4th gen.

Heavy azz wheels that you have is preventing you from burning 2nd gear. When I had my 27lbs each-just wheel, Konig Tantrums on 245 Potenza PolePosition S03 It was kinda hard to chirp 2nd with the stock clutch but it would still do it. I downgraded to 16" 16lbs each wheels and 225 Yokohama AVS and I would smoke the tires in 2nd like its a rolling burnout, 3rd gear would still chirp.

Removing the power valve out of the VIAS has prohibited me from ANY tire chirping, after shifting at redline in 1st the RPMs drop into the no power zone for me and I am just boggn away. My power is 5-6700RPM, damn Nissan and their backordered VIAS'.

I don't know about heavy wheels. My car still ripped second with drag radials on.Like I said earlier.... This maximas have tremendous torque (which is why we have a hard time hooking up off the line) Even with 20's you should still be able to rip 2nd at least!
