I took my car in for emissions inspection and told the guy if the engine should
vibrate like it was doing. He told me that its because the fuel injectors need
cleaning at every 15000 miles. My car has 26000 miles. It also cost $125 to get the injectors cleaned. Have you guys every heard of this?

 

125$?...shoo... u can buy a bottle of fuel injecter cleaner for abour 7 bucks at your local pep boys. I suggest Red Line Complete Fuel injection Cleaning System. YOu can put the whole bottle in at once or for every time u fill up ur gas tank, you put a little in. (you'll understand it if you read the bottle)

 

I usually use those fuel injector cleaners every oil change.

 

it just sounds like he saw all the money that was in your top shirt pocket and said to himself what can i sell this guy.

the total fuel injection service really isnt that big of a deal unless your car has been going years being neglected. its just a bottle of fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank, cleaning the throttle plate and combustion chamber that they do. with a little know how you can buy all these things at a auto store and do it your self. you might even do a better job.

 

This just served as a reminder to me...havent done this inna while myself.

125 to clean fuel injectors is

 

just do the Seafoam treatment and add a bottle of Seafoam to the gas tank.... and you are good to go....
