Which is faster 6th gen or 5.5?

I looked around a bit and so far found that the 5.5 gen has a 0-60 of 6.3 (according to edmunds.com).
On the other hand the 6th gen is supposed to be 6.5 to 60mph (according to road and track magazine).
Anyone else has better/other info?

hp: weight ratio is not always a good indicator of which is faster. Gearing also comes into play as well as other factors such as aerodynamics.

True...also, for pure accelleration, a 5-speed is actually better than a 6-speed in most cases....the 6-speed (believe it or not, 5.5genners) is primarily to increase fuel economy, not to improve accelleration...

6spd in the 04-up has shorter final drive and will make a 5th gen 3.5L or 3.0L really go hard. Other than that 02-03 6spd has pretty much same gearing in 1-5 and 6th is just big overdrive.

I've raced a few local neighborhood kids on their "big wheels" and they usually beat me. they have that wicked 1-speed transmission, after all, but I own them on the top end....
