lots of people have done this just replace the 4 silver corner screws with ones about an inch long. I have not heard of anyone puncturing anything. I didn't.
Thanks

like s_hinerman said, just use 1 inch screws and you should be fine. there is no immediate wiring or line to be concerned with.

i saw the write-up with velcro as well. basically you need to get the industrial velcro and use that instead of the screws

dremel. the one i saw with the velcro, the person removed the back black trim. added some material to screw in the 5 screws and then used velcro. i can't remember what material was used as backing

Just Installed Mine, Used black screws, as that was all i had lying around. You need screws longer than 1" i used 1 1/2 inch screws or they would hardley peirce the carpet.

just wondering how much the pedal moves around when you kick it, and if it feels flimsy in anyway since its not screwed into the car's frame?

If you want a more permanent solution (if you're worried about it moving), I used some epoxy. Just make sure you don't get any on any other part of the interior!

theres no need to glue. The top two screws dont go into the chasis but what i did was put those gromet things like on your inner fenders where the plastic screws in. behind it so the carpet wouldnt back away from the screw there. the screw in the middle and bottom two go deep in so it doesnt move. use inch an a half screws and your fine. some people mount their dead pedal a little low like triple8sol, i guess so it can screw into the stock dead pedal locat perfect. to me this is totally cosmetic as i never rest my foot there anyways...but its firm enough that if i did it aint going anywhere.
