Custom Gauge install

Hey guys, I'm having custom gauges made for my Max, I read somewhere on hear that doing so would require re-calibration of the needles, yet I cannot find a How To for it.

Can anyone help me out?

for the record...it's not the recalibration that's hard...it's putting the needles back on without ruining the little motors that control them. I now have a completely broken tachometer because the little teeny bearings in the motors on the circuit board were pushed out of whack or something.....be VERY VERY VERY gentle and careful when taking the needles off and putting them back on. I mean VERY careful.....
