fog light rewire, sunroof deflector

I am new to this website. I just bought my 01 Maxima and it has a wind deflector on the sunroof. I really don't like it and want feedback who has one or has taken it off. Also it is hard to rewire your fog lights so they come on independently of your headlights. I have read this can be done by some other people on this website. Thanks for any input.

i wouldnt take the sunroof visor off, because underneath, the paint is totally scratched and ruined, and it leaves a huge line around your sunroof....as for the foglight rewire...its EXTREMELY easy...i have absolutely no mechanical skill or experiance, and i did it in a snap..took about 15 minutes, and it looks really good

i read and clearly understand innerbean.com but where did he get the SPLICE tool? the blue box that he used to splice the wire to attach the fog wire to. i can do it the generic way right... with the electrical tape just attaching the wires?

just get some from radio shack..theyre like 3 bucks (pack of 10) and they make the whole splicing process so much easier and much more secure...the package actually says "tap in" but you'll get the picture when you see them...

i wanna rewire my fogs but my fogs are the ugly halogen color and i left stock amber parking/turn signal lights and amber sides. but i would like to know what color bulbs and parkings lights people put. amber and regular halogen color bulbs don't look right when fogs rewired
