how many miles do we get from the front wheel bearings
I have a metalic sound that is intermittent.
usually happens if I drive over 25 miles then I start to hear it from the drivers side front wheel.

if the bearing is bad or going bad, what will the car drive like
is there any difference in feel if the bearing is going bad,

car drives normal, just bought it used 67k miles
previous owner did brake pad change but didnt turn the rotors down
the sound sounds like metal tapping/scraping,
sound gets faster the more the wheel turns

 

Put your car on a jack and wiggle the front wheel to see if there's any play.
