well it finally happened to me...my POS BOSE is crapping out on me at 34K miles...i know this is a TOTAL repost and should be posted in the audio forum, but it does pertain to the 5th gens, because as far as i know, theyre the only maxes that have this problem....anyways, just like everyone elses, the left side is cutting out...a LOT, its a rare moment when all the speakers are actually putting out sound, and when they do, its only for a second or so....well my question is that if i go to the stealership, will they fix my stereo for free? (i am under the 100K bumper to bumper) It really sucks not being able to put a CD in without hearing the left side speakers crackle as they turn on for a second every now and then!! If someone answers my question, i'll delete this thread, i just wanted to see if anyone could tell me the before i look like a loser and call the dealer (they know me well there ) again, sorry for the but i really want this answered! thanks

 

alright, well can someone at least search and give me a thread that talks about the left speakers cutting out, because i want to print it out to have proof that this is a common problem when i go to the dealer...i already tried the ghetto search (google) and i still cant donate to the .org cuz i dont have a credit card to use.....sorry for the trouble

If you're at 34k...I would try taking it to a dealer to fix, still should be under waranty. Otherwise, you might want to look into just getting an aftermarket system.
