i like the rims on the car. I'd suggest getting silver 2002/2003 tail lights and a spoiler. I'm on the fence about the hood its not that bad I think it looks good on your car, but i seem to associate those damn things withh all the rice rockets around here. keep up the mods

i have to disagree with this...like i've stated many times before, i believe the 5th gen SE tails look good on darker colored cars, such as black, grey lustre, etc. but i believe the 5.5 gen SE tails look the best on light colored cars such as sterling mist, sheer silver, glacier pearl, etc...just my .02

we all know the CF hood is for looks, not weight reduction. You really don't

need a performance excuse to get these..

Hell, painting the hood itself would result in "uneeded added" weight if youfeel

that. Yet, back to the point, it's for looks... You either like it or hate it... I will

admit i like em, but only on a black car.. Yet you can now get a silver CFhood

to match a silver car, and a blue to match a blue car... I've seen them, they

are uber expensive though. Yet, i think it's in good taste *black on black car)

like phxblue's former ride .

Come on josh, that new set of rims actually added weight to your car...

certainly wasn't a performance mod. Just straight up tell the guy you aren't

feeling his hood, there is no profound statement in that, just you don't like it.

I said what I thought up there.....
As to the rims...well, they are actually 2lbs lighter than my stock rims (more rotational mass, of course). But as you know:
1. I bought the rims for looks, and because i want STRONG wheels in this potholed area.
2. As I told you on IM, I will not use these rims when I auto-x the car
3. I don't car about accelleration on the street....I am not drag racing anyone....and the accelleration difference with the rims is hardly anything compared to the stock rims.
4. in terms of "performance"...well, the 5cm wider wheel stance (overall), larger rim, and shorter sidewall do give noticeable improvement in the car's handling.....

I never claimed there's anything wrong with doing something for looks, I was just pointing out that the CF hoods were invented as a lightening method, not as a style statement.....

Chill b, im not poking at your choice, do as you wish.

I was just saying the guy did it for styling, not for performance... I also compared it in a way you can relate, you did the rims for styling mostly too (as i take it ).

Nothing wrong with it. The CF craze is kinda ridiculous, but most guys here you gotta admit are doing it for the attention, not for the benefits. Any car that had CF stuff stock (E.G the maclaran f1 frame is entirely carbon fiber) do it for performance, at no expense spared. No one here was going to dig at the guy for his choice, and 30 lbs really aint much on this car doncha think (to facilitate a 200 upgrade).

No harm in obtaining the look though.

looks sweet, not really feeling the tailights but the hood and the rims match well. I wanted to get the CF hood, but I always wanted it painted as well. On the sides have it painted to match the OEM paint. ... Also now that i realize, there was a maxima for sale by an audio company that had this done, not sure if it was CF or not.
