I posted this in the general area, but probably should have posted this here. I recently installed eibachs on my 2000 SE. About a week or 2 later, I start to hear this noise. It sounds like one of the springs is popping or something. I e-mail eibach and they tell me I may have to have to put a lubricant or something on the springs. Has anyone else had this problem or something similar? They said this noise will appear, sometimes. Appreciate any info....

Thanks,
Mike

I get creaking noises once in a while, but I'm not too worried about it. I don't think it should be a problem if it rarely happens... but I might be wrong.

Mike, I had a similar problem and found that there is a plastic cover that wraps around the coils, it is a small section but you can play with it moving it around up or down, in my case the front passenger spring was toching in the lower side, I move the plastic cover to that spot and that was it, fixed. It will be easier if you jack up the car to look around. If it works, reply for the benefit of others in the "Max Team"

Thanks for the replies. What I did was (at the suggestion of eibach) put some insulation, as you basically suggested on the springs. I put some soft rubber or vinyl coating on them and for now the noise is gone. I wish eibach would have suggested this up-front. They said this may happen on some cars. I do like the looks and feel. Much nicer.... By the way, the customer service was very good.
