MAF Temperature Sensor Replacement. HELP

I'm pretty sure the MAF has failed on my 2002, the car won't stay running at all and I just installed an apexi filter a few weeks ago. The stealership wants $550, but I heard that I can get one for a 2001 and do the temperature sensor replacement. I thought there was a write up on this. Anyone help me out ASAP, my car is stuck on the side of the road. Thanks

i had my car in the shop, well when i got it back it felt terrible. They must have dsiconnected the battery and it is in "learn" mode. After about 3000, the engine kicks back and i cant acceleate. Acceleration sucks throughout the entire band. This is not what i expected coming from a maxima a 2 cyclinder.

I disconnect my battery all the time... never experienced any "learn mode" like you're describing...

What does the screen in the front of the maf sensor do??? Does it need to be there or does it restrict airflow?

probably just a safety precaution. I don't see it really restricting any air
