I need them cheap, and I need them soon!

Anyone know? Also, how much is it to turn 1 OEM rotor, usually?

I was going to ask you about your brakes being worn out on an 03 until I saw where you live.

I'm right at 21,000 miles, and there's a strange sound coming from my right front wheel. Metal on metal scraping while I am NOT braking. As soon as I press the brake pedal, it goes away. My diagnosis is that there's no pad there any more..

Have you taken the wheel off to verify?

That strange sound that you are hearing is probably the wear indicators rubbing on the rotor. Your rotors are probably OK if you change your brakes soon.

I hope this helps...

I would think that the noise he described would not go away when he applied the brakes if it was a tell tab (wear indicator). The only real way to tell is the remove the wheel and inspect it.

Zero,

I respectfully disagree. I have had this same condition on many of my cars. The fact that the noise goes away when he hits the brakes is a dead give-away to me. I know it doesn't make sense, but that's what I have experienced.

I am assuming that the noise that Lithiumax is hearing is that high pitched scraping metal /"wear indicator" noise. But like Zero said the only way to find out is to take that wheel off!

Just sharing,
Gears

I reckon we'll have to wait and see what Lithiumax finds out.
