Okay I took the screw out behind the ashtray
Unscrewed the shifter
took 6 screws out from the sides of the console.
took 2 out from inside the console.

I still could not get it to come loose from the dash.

It was like on tiny thing was holding it into place and would not release and I did not want to yank and break something.

Someone please help a brother out.

Have you taken the air condition vents out from the top. Thy pop out and there are two screws behind that.

Yeah, I had to take my dash apart to get to the lights in the aircon system, such a biach.
This might help.

I only need to get the fake wood grain up so I can do this repair to stop a squeak. I don't think removing the AC vents is necessary.
