LSD vs. Locker

I found that there is a company who sells front lockers. I also found a company who makes a LSD system for the maxima. I would like to know what one is the best bet to go with. In other words, what is the most effective.

P.S.
Great to be back on the forum.

Depends on what you do with your car...if you drag race (on the track) where you do little turning then a locker should be your choice, if you drive your car on the street the LSD is what you want . The difference being when you turn a locker will cause the inside tire to chirp and catch because it's trying to spin at the same rate as the outside tire. Somelockers allow some slipping for turns such as Detroit but you get a loud annoying click. The Lsd allows your wheels to spin independently until it recognizes slip on one of the wheels. Which company are you talking about that makes an aftermarket LSD?

Unless you're doing heavy drag racing, or offroading, a locker is pretty much useless. I've had them in my Jeeps before. Great for getting up and over things, but for everyday driving, they're very unfriendly (loud and clunky).

No one in their right mind would sell a "locker" for a fwd.

The mantaray LSD conversion apparently acts like a locker under hard acceleration but in cornering and what not, it switches to LSD, a disc type if I am not mistaken.

I was saying that the LSD acts like a disc type, I don't know a lot about LSD's but I do know that a disc type is not a locker. What I was saying is that the mantaray LSD acts as a locker under hard acceleration. It isn't nescessarily a locker.

So what happens when the differential "acts like a locker" during a corner and hard acceleration? Because you don't want it to act like a locker then.
