Labor cost questions

Just wondering the aprox cost for:

1. Strut and spring replacement.

2. Y-pipe and cat-back install.

I do not have access to a lift and anytime I start a small project it turns into a huge thing.
I have some money set aside and will do these up-grades if the labor doesn't brake me.

Thanks, Mike

A fair price for strut, spring, y-pipe, and cat-back installation is like $320.

I tend to disagree, $320 is on the high end... springs/struts should be no more than $200 if they know what they're doing... even $150 is doable if they're honest... y-pipe and cat-back is about an hour's work if a shop does it, so that's between $65-$90.

Do the y-pipe and cat-back yourself... invest in a 3.5 ton jack and stands for $60 (less than the labor cost) and it'll take ya less than 2 hours for em both... for the struts/springs, get some local .Org guys or your buddies together and do it for the cost of renting a spring compressor from an auto parts place (refundable deposit usually).... it might take ya 2-4 hours, but its a good experience...
