I had the ECU flash and timing advance (17) done yesterday. ECU flash was part of the code P0139/P1147 TSB (rear oxy sensors) , so this was done for free. Had the error code for about 10 days and decided to take care of it in conjunction with the advanced timing. My Max has the auto trans. I drive 50 miles a day and about 65% is highway driving. I always used 93 octane. So here are my impressions so far after about 65 miles since the updates. Off the line it seems better, but the most noticeable difference is between 2k-3.5k rpms where it seems to pull on demand and effortlessly. When I am on the interstate and step on it (around 60 mph), it really takes off a lot stronger then before and I get to 80-90 mph in no time without any lag. Now, I don't know how much of this is due to the new ECU program flash or the advance timing. But so far so good...
