Strut/spring combo...a must?
i brought my car to the shop today to get my suspension checked out...long story short i need new struts....but the guy told me i could either get oem or aftermarket and i dont have to change my stock springs...but i herd on the org that u gotta chnage the springs??? whos right??

You don't need to change the springs, but aftermarket springs will stiffen up the ride a bit, not to mention give you better handling. I'd personally put the money towards an aftermarket suspension since you need to have your struts replaced anyways. It'll save you the hastle later if you were already planning on lowering you car.

You do not need to change the springs if you go with aftermarket struts. If you upgrade just the struts and keep the stock springs your handling will improve. Not as much as a spring strut combo but a noticeable difference.
