i got my 2k2 6-speed used on Sept. 21, 2004 with 29k on the odometer for 16.5K. I now have 35.5 and am still lovin it!

 

Lets see. Bought my 2000 pearl max in 2002 for 16,500 dollars, had 30,000 miles on it.
Bought my 2002 maxima in october 2003 with 24,000 miles on it for 15,500 dollars.

 

Bought mine in June of 2002 with 27,000 miles. For 20,000 bucks I got ripped.

 

I bought mine used about 2 years ago with 48k now its up to 67k.

 

Used in November of 2004 with 35,500 miles for $18,991 before taxes...

 

Bought mine new in feb 2003. It now has 36k

 

Used is the only way to go with these cars because of how rapidly they depreciate. I got my 2k3 one month ago to the day with 36k miles for 17k OTD.

 

Not for me. There is nothing like getting a brand bew car and treating it the way you want it instead of wondering how the previous owner(s) treated it. If you plan on keeping the car a long time, new is the best way IMHO.

 

I bought mine brand new back on March 23, 2002 with only 5 miles on it. It has a little bit more miles on it now.....

 

Leased it May 02. Bought it October 04. Technically it has two owners To Carfax and whatnot but it was always me.

I'm gonna keep it forever.

 

Bought mine used Feb 28, 2002 with 15,XXX miles. Bought on the same day that the car was first bought by the previous owner one year exactly in 01 ( 2/28/2001 ). Didn't noticed the in-service date until i was checking the service records. Car was made in 7/01. Now @ 43XXX miles, still running strong.

 

Bought used in November 04 with 45,000 miles. It now has 69,000 on it and needs new coil packs. Love the car though.

 

Bought used in December 2004 with 47,5-- miles. It now has 48,--- on it. I think I need a coil, coils or a maf. I bought it for $12,995 in NYC. My first import, and I think I will continue to buy imports(specifically Japanese). I feel bad saying that American cars are crap, but my 1990 Lumina(148,--- miles) and 1991 Cavalier(195,--- miles) do not compare.

 

I bought my last Maxima used as well. It was a 1995 4th Gen with 38k miles on it at the time (1997). I just sold it with about 130k on the clock. Never had any major issues with it at all. The way these cars are built, they pretty much last forever.

Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on which side of the fence you are on) they depreciate very very rapidly. This sucks for us as owners, but makes them an excellent bargain. Sure its nice to buy a new car, I cant disagree with you there, but the amount of $$ you can save on the first couple years of depreciation on a great car like this is more than worth it to me and apparently many others.

Im not knocking your decision at all, everyone puts different values on certain things. If you can find a well maintained used car, that is always going to be the best bang for the buck IMO.

 

I bought my car w/ 1,500 miles. "Technically" used, but I consider that brand new. Now i have a whopping 14,700 miles on it, and i might be selling it soon.

 

Selling it for a.......?? Tell me it's what I think it is

 

Bought mine in July 2003 as a dealer demo. The car had a little under 5,000 miles.

Not 100% yet, but most likely a GS430. I'm gonna hit up a dealer auction on thursday. The G35 coupes are still kinda expensive.

I know i have a very rare car tho. I'm sure someone out there knows that. If i don't get any good offers, i simply won't sell it.

Bought my used 00 max in AUG 02 with 42k and now has 87k. Normal mtce and ign.coils changed. No mods yet.

The Lex is a very serious car though. It will give you a lot more than a G35 could ever offer, but in a completely different way. It's probably a lot more practical too, being that the G has to be in the garage 3-4 months of the year. Good luck with whatever you do

My girlfriend bought her 00 GXE Auto with 80k for $9k 2 weeks ago

OK... bought 2000 GLE in Sterling Mist on Dec 1999 brand spanking new....now has 97k miles on it. Traded in 626 Mazda...

bought 99 SE-L in Sept 02 used with 37k miles on it. Traded in 96 Integra. Sold 99 in Jan of 05.... it was a really good deal and a Crimson Blaze...

Bought 05 SE in Jan 05... love it even though 2000 GLE is old faithful.

Next year I will trade in 2000 for a new Pathfinder... I sure do love Maximas

 

I'm all for the Lex for ya, but c'mon Alitl, trade cars with me first, and then you can trade mine in for the Lex!! I want black!!




Anyways, mine was new with 42 miles on it May 20, 2003.......at 33k now

 

I bought my max used, black '03 SE 6spd w/frost leather with 39k miles, almost at 43k now. 4k miles of pure joy. I will probably drive it until the wheels fall off.

 

I bought my 2001, with 29,000 miles on it for $14,300 in August 2004, it now has 38,090--5 speed stock everything. What are the best after market brake rotors to buy to rid my Max of brake judder?
