i have them..they look great on the outside...imo..they tottaly change the front of the car..but the light output is pretty ****ty..so you choose..form>function or opp...but you get get an hid kit for them or retro fit some kind of hid projectors into them..which is difficult as far as i know..or you can get the super expensive but super nice 02-03 HID's that are the best of both worlds..if i had to do it again..i would get the 02-03 HID's and paint them black on the inside..but hey for $220 im pretty damn happy with them

I bought the black ones on Ebay. From the outside, they look fantastic. (the angel eyes were not too bright and looked kind of cheap though). From the inside, it looks like you have two flashlights for headlights. The light output is...horrible.
I sold the projectors, saved up a lot more money, and bought the 2k2 hids. If I were you, I'd buy the hids. You can buy them from guys here on the org, roughly $600. Good luck

They come with stock bulbs. I forgot what they were, H3 or H4. Yes you can change them(exactly what I did, I changed them to piaa superwhites). Um, it did make a little difference, but you still cant see the road. This is due to the projectors. They are cheap in quality so they shoot out everywhere, the left, right, even the sky. So changing bulbs won't make that much of a difference, unless you do the MDX retrofit with HIDS like one of the guys on the forum. His came out absolutely beautiful.

I bought my projectors at Customenterprise. They come with H1 and H3 bulbs. I converted low and high beam to HID but the light output is still poor.

I had them, see my sig pic. I actually didn't think that they were that bad. I feel the light output was just a little bit worse than stock but not that much. However I went this way because I didn't want to shell out 900 for 2k2 hids. But ended up going this way six months later and couldn't be happier.

After looking, these lights are garbage they fit like crap, and by the time you convert them to HIDS, you might as well buy some nice 02-03 OEM's and get the angel eyes for those and black house them. I'm having a hard time locating these up by me though.

But trust me, in the long run the 02-03 will be your best bet.

Good buy, you would have had to put out around $320 or more on the Ebay ones if you wwanted to retrofit a new Projector and HID kit anyways.

Projectors seem to have a bad output. I wanted some but decided to get some HIDs... but ended getting AE headlights. I wanted to do the blacken out stock headlights but one was kinda outta shape so I decided just to spend 200$ on AE headlights... I should have saved it up and spend an extra 400$ to get HIDs... but down the road I will... so basically I'm sayin'... save up the rest of the money and get HIDs instead of the projectors... then just black it out....

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR CHOICE!

i have some projectors and replaced the projector with mdx halogens unlike dr.roy. Light output is very good and i still have a very sharp cut-off. On HIDFORUM these are rated better than the audi rs6 projectors. Soon I will be adding some ballast and d2s bulbs and will own all stock 2k2 2k3 HIDS. (jk)

The price of the projectors were $40 but hidplanet has a kit for like $400 with valeo H7 projectors, bubls, ballast, and ignitors. After the retro it will be close to $700 total but the light output will far surpass any 2k2 2k3 HID system.

yeah, less than 40 minutes each per headlight. bake time is 10 minutes @ 300 degrees to open and about 8 minutes to close.

Sorry for being all late in this convo., but I just bought and installed the Halo Projectors for my 01 Max and they suck. First of all, they don't fit properly because the clip that holds the headlamp in it's housing is off by an inch, so you have to remove the clip in order for it to fit properly. Secondly, the light output is horrible. Each lamp projects three beams of lights. Bulbs don't help either, I installed PIAA H3 Super Plasma 5000K, all it did was change the light from yellow to blue-ish white. Save money and invest in HID's.
