bad down stream O2 sessor.

My 2000 has the check engine light on. I had the shop check the codes and
the say it is the down stream O2 sensor. I assumed that that is the one in
the cat under the car. I look in Chiltons and they have a picture of it at the
back of the Cat with the wire going through the underside of the floor. My
only problem is my cat does not have an O2 down stream or the wire shown
in the manual. My question is the manul says there are 3 O2 sensors in a
2000 maxima. Where are they located? And why does mine not match the
manual.

One in each exhaust manifold, and one downstream of the cat. CAli spec has 4 total. Follow the wire harness on top of the from ex. manifold.
