Yeah it feels like you have a whole new car agian. It's pretty cool that such a simple replacement can bring so much life back to your max.

Maf's usually run around $95. PearlWhite has your maf ever been replaced. Signs of a bad maf are hesitation, stalling, rough idling and basically when your car runs like ****. Very common problem in 5th gens.

well my parents helped me out paying so i didn't mind going to the dealership to buy it. It was about $112 total with tax. the install wasn't as easy as people said though!

after finally deciding to take out the air control unit that whole thing it wasn't bad. But the MAF itself was stuck into the unit pretty hard. So after strugling with it for awhile. Getting the new one back into it was just a tough. All in all glad i did it myself and glad i did it period!

So if my car doesnt hesitate, doesnt really run liek sh*t, does idle kinda rough and stalls every so often could it be my MAF that needs to be changed then?
i thought the coils needed to be changed which i did and i still have the same problem. Anyones input?

Maximus if you already changed your coils and you are still having some idling and stalling issues my best bet would be your maf. Like I said earlier It's a pretty easy replacement and fairly cheap. Try it you'll like it!

Try cleaning it first. Much cheaper.

yea those pics is what got it done. I couldn't figure out how to get the bolts towards the bottom and it was really pissin me off, lol. but once i canme to check for replies and saw that i had to remove the whole unit it was simple, except for litterally taking the MAF out of its holder, that was a *****.

thanks alot for the diagram

Recently changed MAF, what a differnece. I actually threw a P0133 heated o2 code but after resetting the battery, hasnt come back. I didn't ECU reprogram yet since stealer-ships here want over $120 to do. My only worry now, how long will this MAF last? It seems since my intake, ive had this problem and i'm not removing the intake. Maybe the ECU reprogram will make it last longer?
