Yesterday I was driving back home and something hit the windshield and crack it, so this morning I went to a local shop to see if they can fix it, unfortunately they cant fixe it, so I have to change the windshield again and it is going to cost me 600$ to replace it and my damn insurance doesn't cover it. It is the 3 rd Nissan car that I bought and I had to change the windshield on all. ( 2 Maxima, 1 Pathfinder )

I owned a total of about 15 cars in my life and I never had to changed a windshield on those non Nissan car, am I just unlucky or what ?

I figured out if I ever buy another Nissan car ( who know's ) I think I will blow the windshield with a baseball bat on the day that I will take delivery so at least I'll have some pleasure for the money I'll have to spend anyway.

Cheers

*knock on wood* i haven't had anything happen to my windshield yet, but on my last car (92 taurus) i was goin along one day and BAM outta nowhere an SUV kicked somethin up into my windshield, left a huge welt and spider web'd all over the place to the point where i couldn't see.. had to hazard light it home (was on a parkway) and get it fixed the next day.. luckily i had glass insurance on that car..

good luck with everything

Actually...

There is a HUGE markup on automobile glass. I had my windshield replaced last week and since I have a $100 deductible on comprehensive that is all I paid for it. The installer told me that the Maxima windshield costs $800 but he gives a 50% discount (in actuality his mark-up isn't very much). In total with labor and all it came to $511 but I only had to pay $100.

Hey MaxSEAE, I was not serious about smashing the windshield with a baseball bat on my next Nissan, I just needed to ventilated, cuz what I forgot to say is the same day I had a hit and run, the guy back up on my hood and left so I need a new hood.
