I myself love how the Maxima looks and how quiet/comfortable/classy it is. I also love how so many non maxima owners come to the board.

PS Why don't you bring the Twin Turbo NSX? That would be a lot more interesting than the Civic. Or better yet bring a Maxima since it is Maxima meet?
if you read the text "So why don't you come to the BIG Maxima meet here in DC and I'll show you my mid engine Honda Civic EX with my dual coke can pipe." That is just "joke" And yes, I am bring my NSX, I'm going with my friend that has a Maxima. Are you going to be there?

I said the Maxima can beat a NSX easily especially a Twin Turbo NSX. I'm going over to the NSX board now to remind them of that!

Huh?

What is this conversation about anyway. Some guy who wants to talk about his NSX is claiming he can beat a Maxima. So what? With the $60K+ price difference, I should hope he can.

91 NSX is about 30K used today. That's a whole different story. I can start talking my warranty, brand new interior, etc...to your 10 year old car. I'll acknowledge the car is probably still faster, but its a 10 year old car. Nobody can argue with the reality of how it feels to have a brand new car as compared to a 10 year old car.

The new one's (3.2L manual) MSRP for $88 with no options.

i can believe you have the car

but with only 351rwhp on a car thatmakes 240ish rwhp stock isn't A LOT of gain... but still respectable

but i don't think you'd run mid-11s with only 351rwhp and a 2.1s 60ft...

mid-11s with that kind of power to weight ratio take a sub 2.0... like a 1.8

if you ran a 11.6 at 120mph that would need a 60' of sub 2.0s... and you don't have the top-end to make up for it...

my friend with the bright *** orange 280z is putting 360rwhp down and he weighs about 2700lbs with his roll cage... he can hit 11s... like 11.70s or so with a good launch and a sub 60' time

you are still fast with that amount of power tho
pretty good for only 6psi

but yes like you said; anything can be made fast... even a FWD Maxima :P

Well a new one you can get for $80K, and there are no options, maybe a CD Changer, keyless, etc, dealer installed.

Well here's the story, I ran my car and ran a 12.2 with the 2.15 60FT time, At the time I had a blown engine, I was missing #3 Cyl. so with some drag radials and my new engine, I'm sure I'm in 11's and prob. mid 11's with a good lauch, MIR is a great track to race at. In my 97 S/C Maxima, I ran a 13.9 with a 2.8 60FT time, I broke 4 trannys and then just gave up.

Good luck to you! Anyone on the board who bought a 2K or 2K1 Max New could have bought a 10 year old NSX. We chose to buy Maxima and that is what this board is about. The info on the Max was great the NSX stuff is getting a lil tired....

yeah you'll hit 11s definitely

i dunno about mid 11s...

i just see cars making more hp than that hitting mid 11s...

my friend has a 90 TurboII RX-7 with a T04B 60-1 turbo anda haltech... he's running about 17psi... its a ball-bearing turbo too...
he spools around 3000rpms or so... and he's supposed to do mid 11s... but he's touching a tad over 410rwhp... and he's lighter than your NSX... if i remember right... the NSX weighs right around 3000lbs?

his T2 is really a GTU with a turbo engine... its the lightweight model... its supposed to weigh somewhere between 2700-2800lbs...

good luck this year tho

if i can get the clutch replaced in my talon and get the exhaust on it i hope to be touching 13.8s at like 95mph... and 13.5s at 97mph at 18psi... hehe; my friend runs a 12.8 @ 103

hopfully i'll touch about 1.7s 60'...
