Problem with H&R Spacers Install

I followed the directions here.
http://home.insightbb.com/~davidwhon...cer/spacer.htm

But i can't get the longer studs to stay put. They are wiggling, I can't put on the wheels cause they push back. Seems like the new studs are thinner than the OEM ones. I can't put back the oem ones, since the threads are messed-up from hammering them.

Any ideas??

Were the new studs hard to press into the hubs? If not, you have the wrong ones. When I got my spacers a couple years back, H&R sent me the wrong ones too. I had to have them send me the right ones.

The new studs should have been very hard to put in BTW.

had that problem w/ Nismo studs. They were too skinny and they wouldn't stay in place. Get them replaced Zippin.

that sucks because 40mm wouldn't work for our cars

I am hoping someone here can post the item #. Obviously the ones I got are not the correct size. I am going to contact Justin and see what can be done. The spacers were bound together will some tape which read : "they cannnot be returned if they are installed". My stupid **** should have checked the box, prior to installing them. But after waiting for 6 months, I was too excited.

So who here has 20MM H&R's? Please post a pic of the box showing the item# and description.

I have 20mm H&R spacers. I'll post a picture of the box tonight when I get home...or at least let you know the P/N.

When I installed the new studs I could not get 2 (out of 10) of them to stay put. When I put the wheel on and then tried to tighten the lugnut the studs would get pushed back throught the hole and touch the hub assembly. I had to take the wheel off twice to get them to stay put.

What I did was get a couple spacers and put them over the stud. Then I hand tightened the lugnuts on the studs (with the wheel still off) and tightened with the wrench to force the head of the studs through the holes on the hub. After I did that I re-installed the wheel and got all the lugnuts to tighten on the studs.

it's not your fault. They sent you the wrong item to begin with. They better replace them for you.

justin e-mailed back and said the replacement will be shipped in 4 days.

the studs from autozone were 0.98 a piece. they ae the same size as the oem. not sure about the quality.

so for all who will do this, don't beat the crap out of the oem studs. hold a folded towel, and then beat on the studs. you never know, you may need those again..

My stuff read the same except for the bolts
