volume ****

my volume **** isnt working anymore, i took the **** off to the medal peice and it wont turn up or down, any suggestions?

haha that's funny a post from over 3 years ago reborn! Not sure you can fix that without taking it to the shop and hoping it's a reasonably priced repair.

guessing you don't have the steering wheel volume controls? or are they shot too?

so check this out, i have the same problem, and punching the radio actually works. you gotta hit the piece around the ****. just pushing in the plastic around the **** and display violently works as well. i know sounds like i'm screwing with you, but i swear it works. unfortunately i got hammered one day, and was upset that it wasn't working (while my friend was driving!!!!!) and punched the radio with my fist and cracked the display lol. oh well, time for the avic d-3 anyways

hahaha lordy... why were u hammered and in your car??? i won't tell....

i've had luck smacking the dash once or twice when my CD player skips/ won't read it, but i wouldn't be hitting the dashboard too much. not good in the long run. yikes
