2000 Max. auto 53500 miles Just bought it in December runs great and I think its the best car ive ever had. But, every now and then, it has a problem starting. It starts fine in the cold. But last night after it raining all day, i went out to start the car. (it wasnt the first time the car ran that day) but anyway i went to start as i always do and it took a while to actaully start, and instead of the revvs shooting up to 1500 very quickly like it usally does, they slowly climed from 200 up to 1500. And there was an odd knocking coming the engine also, and it was putting out alot of smoke from the exhaust. Could this be the coils?
