Try using the search feature. I've seen lots of posts on it. Since I don't have bose I don't pay too much attention.

In the TSB Sticky thread there is a Technical Service Bulletin on rattles. If you read that TSB you'll understand that Nissan gives their technicians the ammunition to fix those rattles. Point them out to you dealer when you have it serviced the next time.

I have the same Bose problem in my AE. <<here comes a rant>> First, it is my personal opinion that all in-car Bose systems are worthless pieces of junk with too much muddy bass and not enough midbass. <<end of rant>> Second, the Nissan fix is little spongy pads between the package shelf and the body. That will (may) eliminate the rattle. However, the source of the problem is a flexible package shelf with no sound/vibration deadening material. I believe premium (thick) Dynomat applied liberally on the underside of the package shelf (difficult to do) would be a better cure of the symptom than Nissan's cure. A better cure would be to reinforce the package shelf. My thoughts are wood and/or fiberglass reinforcement although I have no idea how to do either.

Hope that helps and let us know what you do if you use a solution above and beyond Nissan's.

Thanx guys......i used the search feature and discovered the whole velcroy process ....that might work(using velcroy to hold the pads surrounding the sub).....i will mention it too my dealer also....and maybe that might completely rid all rattling....but u know,i really thought Bose systems were like the greatest, until now that is

Last night I was at the grocery store and these two obnoxious 17 year olds got into their 1960 Accord that was slammed so low it couldn't crest a peanut. As they left they turn on their "music" just a nasty pile of vibrating/sh|tty bass. I had to laugh.
