Drop vs. Stock - A decision in pictures. New pics posted...

Dropped definitely looks hot, but IMO id rather ide stock and retain my ride quality rather than have looks. I do aggre that maximas should have come with a lower stance but i think they should make some springs that still retain your ride quality(no roll though) and give you a good look......my $.02

I have a 2000 Infiniti I30t, dropped it with Eibach and Tockico HP for about 6 months now and the ride sucks. You feel everything in the road, and you better hope you dont hit a pot hole, and yes they do sag eventually.

I love the look of the dropped cars, but I'd be afraid of gutting my car on a handful of overly agressive speed bumps I know of. I have one friend in particular, I'd not be able to visit him anymore...it's right before his parking garage.
I voted for the drop, but I don't think I'd ever do it unless I also had Jeep Wrangler Rubicon skid plates.

After my drop I did a little test to see how practical my car still was after the drop. I took it off road on a very broken dirt path. With some 6-8 in deep potholes and some nasty lookin tree roots goin across the path stickin out 3-4 in above the ground.. It was no problem

I agree with everyone on how much better Max's look lowered. I have been driving B13 SE-R's w/ highly modded suspensions on the streets for the past 10yrs, so I love my stock suspension w/ my small modd list (FSTB, RSTB, RSB) and wont change springs on mine. Plus with a family on the way, i dont think they would enjoy higher spring rates.

i have owned eibach's, h&r, and i've ordered a set of progress from cattman.
eibach: beautiful drop, ride is HORRIBLE
h&r: great ride, but for the minimal drop, you might as well have stayed with stock.
i can't wait to test the progress.

progress is the way to go.I have had the cattman setup with progress and tokico 5 way for abotu a year and a half. i dont have any problems with being lowered as far as daily driving. I have driven the car across the florida a hole bunch of tiem and never had an issue with clearance or ride quality. most dont even think i am lowered while riding in the car. progress all the way man

if you are goin to drop dont cheap out on it and make sure you get NONSTOCK REPLACEMENT struts. stock old sturts and lowered springs will make you very unhappy. plus if you do it at different times you will spend two times the moeny for install

I just bought progress springs for my '02.
I was torn between the H techs and these.... I've been on D2's on my 4th gen so i'm sure these will feel really nice compared to that.
Great thread!
