No, I'm sure they will *cover* it.
but that means dealing with nissan.. I have to worry that they will mess up and it will look worse, or I guess even worse that they will paint with my door open and get overspray inside the car on the leather. Thing is I will tell them to be careful, that I will notice and pitch a damn fit if they mess up, they will then assure me that cant happen, then screw it up exactly like I said they would... they NEVER listen. and I always have to get upset. I'm upset just because I know I'm going to have to get really upset later!
ummm.. yeah...
I cleaner/wax it 3-4 times a year (mequiers), usually at the start of each season... however, if you actually LOOK at the pic, you see its flaking off. I have no idea how far it will go but that whole area can be taken off by rubbing your finger across it.
I think you are referring to compounding. Wax is not abrasive.
Also, thats kinda silly as this isnt some area that gets my vigorous attention (like behind the wheel where tar gets splattered).

No...
maybe twice in 2 years have people been in the back. We usually take the Pathfinder if we have others with us.
the thing is, its NOT WEARING OFF.. its flaking off. Its poor adhesion, not wear. the paint its exposing is perfect and unscratched.

I like green_2's idea. i think i will try the same with the car cover.
hey guys you know what you can do instead. collect all the paint chips, put them in a pan, and heat them up, then you can huff the fumes of your own purchased paint.

I have heard of cars being
repainted at the dealerships and at the port entry port due to damage in transfer. Thay won't volunteer the info and I don't know if they will admit it was done to your vehicle, it is a possibility. Good luck

Yes, I heard the same thing...
However, there was no masking lines or overspray. I had that independently verified as I suspect this at first.
I went at lunch and the dealer tried to tell me the car had been hit. I freaked on them, there is no way.. Not even a door ding on my car in 2 years. they got down closer and took that back.. they said "oh, sorry..it looks to just be flaking" Now I have my 'appointment' in a few weeks with the paint inspector... again.

Something tells me I made a wrong choice...
So with all these low-quality paint issues on Maximas (other Nissan products as well?), what will our cars look like 3 years down the road? Paint peeling, non clearcoat, flat painted, rock chipped POS? We might as well leave it in the garage.
I may have to rethink my investment on ZAINO products...

Man, I've never seen anything like that before (on a new car at least). Much luck getting it fixed.
