what went wrong?

So yesterday i`m leaving my gf house...start the car...i let the car warm up(chicago weather sucks)....give it some gas....and nothing....the car would idle fine but as soon as youd give it some gas the rpms wiould climb to about 1200-1300 rpm and that's it....even at full throtle.......i gave it some time and about 30 minutes later the car started with the SES light on, but drove fine....got me home....so i get into my car today and it will not start.....well it starts and then it dies right away.......do u guys know what the heck is going on....is there an easy fix to that? i really need the car for this weekend(easter and stuff)....Thanks

ITs a 03 max with 32k

BTW Have a nice/happy Easter

that's what i tought last night....the MAF(after reading about it on the forum) but at 32k? that's kinda fast.....do u think that MAF is also causing the car to shutdown right away?

Maf and that's a big problem on the 02-03..., hopefully you can find one soon..... call Daveb 1-888-254-6060 if you can wait.. if not might have to go to your near stealer.... and they will rip you off.. You only need the MAF not the tube.....

so i just talked to nissan and have the appointment on monday....they r saying that if it is a MAF it's going to be covered under warranty.....now if it's not i`m out $100 to get the car towed to dealer + $95 for inspection(or something)

the STEALER is a rip off - $488 for a friking MAF sensor.....that is some sick *****

Yeah, avoid the stealership. It should cost no more than $150.

If you buy the 01-02 new update it shoul run around $90.00 shipped, you can install it yourself cause it is really easy.... DONT TAKE IT TO THE STEALER..... but if you are under warranty let them figure it out....

so here is an update on that.....the car has been at the STEALER for the past 2 days....he pulled a couple codes....and doesn't think that the MAF went wrong(or is going out) he's leaning torward the Throttle Plate(or something like that) failure.....also he said that the air filter that i have in the max(air hog....from air fram) is restricting the airflow to my car(that confused me)...what do u guys think?
