Just got a price for a K&N Drop-In Filter for the 2000 MAX

$72.00 CDN pn#33-2031-2

If I want a cone type filter.. Should I got with Stillen or K&N. There looks like two sensors on the tubing for the air flow. Which one is which? Also the major question is the warranty issue. Heard lots of mixed opinions on what dealers say and do once the MAX has been modified.

way too expensive

72 for a drop in? man! u got ripped off..
I pay 60 for a drop in and a recharger/cleaner from pepboys.

basically, stillen is using K&N. u buy the stillen pipe with a K&N head....if u gonna get those, u have to take out entire air box which contains ur K&N drop in. plus one major downside is the losing of low end torque. reconsider, buddy....

but those can not beat our maxima.org's OSCAI. if u gonna get the drop-in....try OSCAI.

Actually, 72$ CANADIAN (about 45$ US) is exactly what I paid for the drop in only (at Canadian Tire). I don't think we have a PEP boys up here in the great white north, at least not in Ottawa.
