For those newbs who ask about RB26's in Maximas

Do you think he has one? The first time I saw it I didnt have my camera, but luck was with me this time and I had it in the car. It can be found in Pinellas Park/Clearwater FL, as you can tell by the license plate frame. And to the owner of this car if you happen to be on the org...disgrace to the rest of us.

Take a trip to your local Autozone, and you too can show off the awesome power of the RB26 on your trunklid in stick-on form.

Thanks Mike, your the man. I dont have a problem with threads getting locked for good reason, but no reason was posted and I see no no real reason to lock it, its harmless and no worse than the "you know you own a 5th gen when" threads or anything else, they are simply for a little humor.

Speaking of lying and ... there's someone on eBay who is actually trying to sell a Max with a JET chip in it... and yes, he's even claiming the hp gains from his JET chip...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...&category=6400

Talk about false advertising...

I emailed him. I asked how he managed to come up w/ those numbers and he said his mechanic told him those numbers. He said his car fees noticeably faster.

So he claimed 300 crank hp over stock of 255.... and he tells a guy who asked a question about the chip (its posted on the auction) that the chip gives 15 hp (which is BS, by the way)... so that's implying that the intake and exhaust gives 30 hp? Go figure...

Sadly, there have already been 4 bids on the car... poor people... little do they know...

Aside from the bogus claims, it's still a pretty nice Maxima if the reserve price is right.

On top of the fact that this poser has a GT-R badge on his non-RB car, I think it's funny that he added the GT-R badge without removing the SE or the LoKey Nissan emblems.

It doesn't seem totally unreasonable to assume that the new GT-R will be VQ-powered. Even if it is, putting a GT-R badge on a Maxima is just as bad as putting Type R on a Corolla. I see a lot of Mustang owners sticking GT-R badges on too. They think it's really cool to put them on V6 Mustangs, because it gives them the SUPER AWESOME power of a GT badge plus a red R.

Come on guys, aren't y'all being too hard on the guy? I mean he is from Florida and people down there don't really know much about anything, especially cars. They think putting neon under their cars and adding a fart can is actually cool. Let's cut this guy a break.

P.S. I hate Florida. Especially the Gators! Go Dawgs!

Go noles, anyway, the GT-R thing your opinion is yours... who knows, but leaving the SE and Lokey, that is what is really
That is like gutting a computer, putting in all new components and leaving the lame Dell sticker while adding Athlon 64 stickers on it...just doesn't matchup or make sense. Gotta love Lokey...I buy from Crown.
