I saw a post somewhere about this but could not find it. I have a clunking noise in the front suspension when driving over speed bumps or pot hole. I thoght there was a fix for this. If you know the link PLS post it.

man i went in today. They checked the struts and said since nothing is broken they can't fix the rattle. Annoying!

My last car had the SAME noise... I am assuming it is tie rods or other links. Anyone confirm??

I had a simalar noise on my 02 and it turned out to be the front sway bar and bushing.....replaced under warranty and the noise hasn't come back. that was 2 years ago..........i was told by the dealer that alot of maximas have this problem.....

I have heard that problem occur when the shocks are dead as well. When there's 2 or more in the car with me it makes a noise over speed bumps. When the road inclines suddenly or coming out of a semi-steep driveway it makes that noise as well. It's like the sound of the springs being squished right?

Had the clunking noise last year. Replaced both front sway bar end links and the clunking disappeared.
